Black-Neck Swan on her protected nest |

Nesting Black-Swan's mate came out of the water
slowly to keep Rich and his camera at a distance! Hissed just a bit,

outside the nesting area while the Mother-swan tended to her 5
babies within. |

Later the swan family was moved to a new
location in the other lake near the dining room. Although kept on
the outside, the father maintains a watchful vigilance. |

Father's Day, 2010. All had been transferred to the larger Lake
Maggie earlier in the month. They are very much a family. |
